Marguerita Adelaide (Ferreira) Bell October 19, 1934 - October 5, 2023 Peacefully with her family by her side, Marg passed away at 11:25 am at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 yrs., James D. Bell & their little dogs Pekoe & Chai; her cherished daughters, Carolann Bell Prue (Gord), Barbara-Ann Bell, Jamie-Ann Bell Nicholls (Steve), stepdaughter Elizabeth Jones; her precious grandchildren, Violet Bell Hogan (Ryan), Dakota Nicholls (Zoe Eyre), Amethyst Prue, Aubergine Prue (Darius), Phoenix Prue, and Gemini Prue; her adored beautiful great grandbaby, Scarlett; her step grands and great grands; her sisters Anna Ferreira, Neila Van Der Es, & Mary Walters, and her many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. Predeceased by her brothers, sisters and their partners; Frank & Betty Ferreira, Compton & Olga Ferreira, Evelyn & George Quirk, Georgie Angela & Ruben DeNobrega, Henry Walters; her in-laws Bill & Margaret Bell, Reg & Judi (Bell) Chad; & her best friend Pauline (Harrison) D'Andrade. Maggie was born in Georgetown, British Guiana (Guyana) to Joseph Augustus & Georgina Agnes (Faria) Ferreira on Friday, October 19, 1934. After leaving Guyana, she came to Canada in 1963 after a short stay with her sister, Eva, in Connecticut, USA. She worked at Fogarty’s in Guyana. When arriving in Toronto, Ontario, Canada she secured a position at Grand & Toy, where she met the love of her life, Jim. She also had the pleasure of working along side many family members as they joined the company thru the years. Marg was loved by so many and was always the neighborhood mom, the "favourite" Aunt, the gift giver, the holiday decorator and the one all could count on. Besides her blessed family, she loved ELVIS, dancing, angels, turtles, cows, her dogs, dolls, sunflowers and her catholic faith. Rest in peace sweet Maggie ??????. A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2023 1-4 pm: The Mount Community Centre Austin Doran Hall 1545 Monoghan Rd.
